As soon as I returned to Hong Kong in 2003, I started to look for volunteer work with charity. With the referral from a classmate, I made a call to the House. Since then, I have been a volunteer with this House of Love for a few years.
After being the House’s volunteer, I note that happiness in soul is more long-lasting than futile pursuit of material happiness. A simple and sincere “Thank You” always fills my heart with joy.
Throughout these years, the most memorable thing is the mosaic art piece that I made with the seriously ill children and their parents in 2008, which is still hanging on the wall of the House today.
I am also very glad to be able to witness the growth of the House in Hong Kong. In the past, the public only knows the McDonald’s brand, but I am delighted to see that now they also have a good understanding of the Ronald McDonald House® Hong Kong. These achievements are results of the commendable eagerness and efforts of those who have been supporting the House since its establishment.
