The Hospitality Cart allows us to extend our support to meet the family needs and is always delivered with love and smile by our staff and volunteers
We understand there are many children and families in hospitals that we are unable to serve at our House. Whether they are staying at the hospital overnight or waiting for their appointments, it can take a toll on the families. To extend our care to the families and help alleviate their stress, RMHC Hong Kong created the Caring Teddy Hospitality Cart program, hoping to make the long hours at the hospitals a little bit easier. To achieve our mission of creating and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well-being of the children, our Hospitality Cart program aims to show that long hours at the hospital can in fact be a positive experience.
Our Caring Teddy Hospitality Cart can be seen travelling around in the hospital visiting the children with our lovely Caring Teddy – designed by our volunteer who once stayed at RMHC HK! Caring Teddy acts as a companion for the children to brighten up their day, and to let them know they are never alone in this journey. The cart is filled with a variety of family-centered comfort items, thoughtfully designed to support children in their roads to recovery, such as Caring Teddy storybooks, educational games and drawing kits.
