Terms and Conditions
Enrolment & Qualification
1. To be eligible for the race, participants must pay the registration fee upon registering and meet the minimum fundraising requirement on or before August 13, 2025 (Wednesday). Failure to meet the fundraising requirement by this date will result in disqualification. All registration fees and donations are non-refundable.
2. By submitting a registration, participants confirm they have read and agree to all rules, terms, and arrangements of the race.
3. Age of participants shall be calculated as of 2025 (Year of Birth)(eg a person born on 2007 will be considered as age 18).
4. Participants aged below 18 must obtain consent from a parent/guardian.
5. Participants who meet the minimum fundraising requirement will receive an eligibility confirmation email within 5 working days after the deadline. If you do not receive this email, please contact [email protected].
6. Registration fees are not tax-deductible.
7. Registrations with incomplete information will not be accepted.
8. On-site and late registrations will not be accepted.
9. No refunds are permitted after registration is complete. Places are non-transferable, and fees paid for duplicate entries will not be refunded.
10. Anyone who is pregnant or suffers from chronic diseases such as heart disease or high blood pressure should not participate. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant known or suspected to be unfit for the event.
11. Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit to compete. The Organizer and its personnel reserve the right to disqualify any participant deemed unfit to continue, and the participant shall not object.
12. Participants must report to the race reception at their designated time. Failure to arrive on time will result in disqualification.
13. Participants must wear the official event bib at all times during the event. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify anyone not wearing their bib.
14. If there are emergencies caused by natural disasters or man-made disasters during the event (floods, wildfires, landslides, fallen trees, earthquakes, road damage, fighting, riots, etc.), the event may be suspended or cancelled. Participants must seek a safe location immediately.
15. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any person from and nullify his / her result of the race and further to forbid and prohibit such person from participating in future races and events organized by the Organizer if, including but not limited to,:
i. The participant commits or attempts to commit any act which is in violation of the laws of HKSAR, including the National Security Law and Safeguarding National Security Ordinance;
ii. The participant carries out or attempts to carry out any kind of demonstration or political, religious or racial propaganda at the race or other venues or areas relating to the race;
iii. Participant brings any banners, posters, placards, leaflets / publicity, outfits and/or displaying tattoos or materials which are considered abusive, threatening, discriminatory, religious or political;
iv. The participant brings any dangerous goods (i.e. offensive weapons, flammable, explosive agents or materials/objects which obstruct other participants, etc.), which are strictly prohibited, to the race.
16. For participants disqualified for the reasons listed in point 15, all registration fees and donations are non-refundable.
Racer’s Pack
1. Race pack collection will take place from August 29-31, 2025. We will announce detailed information, including the specific time and location, after the fundraising deadline has passed.
2. T-shirt sizes are available on a first-come, first-served basis (based on the order of successful enrolment and payment) while stocks last. The Organizer does not guarantee the provision of T-shirt(s) in any particular size.
3. T-shirt size(s) choice cannot be amended after successful enrolment.
4. All gifts cannot be exchanged for cash.
Weather conditions
1. Please pay special attention to the weather forecast by the Hong Kong Observatory. On the event day at 6am:
– If tropical cyclone warning signal no.3 or below / an amber rainstorm signal is hoisted – the organizer will inform teams via email whether the race will be held as usual;
– If tropical cyclone warning signal no.8 or above, or a red or black rainstorm signal is hoisted – the race will be cancelled.
2. If any of the above warnings are posted before the event and the event is cancelled, the registration fee and donations will not be refunded.
3. If severe weather develops during the event, the Organizer reserves the right to cancel the event. The event will not be rescheduled. Registration fees and donations will not be refunded.
Health & Safety Advice
1. Participants should ensure they are in suitable health for this activity. If in doubt, please seek medical advice in advance.
2. Participants must understand that this event requires physical exertion and ensure their health is suitable. If any discomfort arises, cease the activity immediately and seek assistance from on-site staff.
3. Participants should take protective measures against UV rays, such as applying sunscreen, wearing a cap, and staying hydrated.
4. Any person who is pregnant or has chronic diseases (e.g., heart disease, high blood pressure) should not participate.
5. The Organizer reserves the right to disallow or disqualify any person known or suspected to be physically unfit to participate, or whose age is not qualified to participate. For participants disqualified for the reasons set out herein, all registration fees and donations are non-refundable.
6. The Organizer provides public liability insurance. Participants are responsible for their own personal accident insurance.
7. Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer (including but not limited to Ronald McDonald House Charities Hong Kong Ltd) from i. any injury or death suffered by the participant himself / herself or any other persons; and ii. any damage to property as a result of him / her not being physically fit to participate in and complete the race.
Pet Category Terms & Conditions
Pet Owners are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to follow the rules and regulations below:
1. Only domesticated pet dogs are permitted to participate. All other animals are prohibited to enter the event venue.
2. Dogs must be supervised by their owners and kept on a leash at all times.
3. Owners must provide their own drinking water for their dogs.
4. Dogs weighing 20kg or more are classified as “large dogs”. Large dogs shall be securely held on a leash of not more than 2 metres in length by a person, and use a muzzle at all times.
5. All participating dogs must be at least 5 months old and in good health. No admission for dogs under 5 months or dogs in heat.
6. If a dog shows signs of distress, the owner must immediately move it to a cooler, shaded area. The Organizer is not responsible for any accidents or injuries.
7. “Fighting dogs”, or other “known dangerous dogs” as classified under the Dangerous Dogs Regulation (Cap 167D) are not permitted.
8. Dog owners are solely responsible for any damage or injury caused by their dog(s) to other persons or dogs, the public facilities, or any third party.
9. Dog owners should keep the environment clean and hygienic at all times. Dog owners shall immediately clean up any faeces or urine their dogs have deposited and shall provide their own sealed bags, containers and/or tools for proper waste disposal.
10. The Organizer is not liable to any dog owner or to any person or persons whomsoever whether claiming through, under or in trust for any dog owner or otherwise, for or in respect of any act, deed, matter or thing done or omitted in pursuance or purported pursuance of the above rules and regulations.
11. If the above guidelines are violated, or nuisance is caused to other visitors/Event participants, the Organizer reserves the right to request the dog owner(s) to leave the Event area with their dogs.
12. In case of any dispute, the Organizer will reserve the right to make the final decision.
Other Terms
1. Personal belongings can be stored at the designated area. Please do not bring valuables. The Organizer is not responsible for any loss or damage. Once participants use this service, they are assumed to have accepted these terms.
2. Participants understand and agree that participation in the race is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk. Each participant agrees to absolve the Organizer and any sponsor and/or supporting organizations from any and all liabilities arising from bodily injuries, accidents, death or other losses during or caused by travelling to and from the event venue during the event or whatsoever reason.
3. Participants shall indemnify and/or reimburse the Organizer in respect of any additional expenses or costs incurred by the Organizer arising from or in connection with any fault or action or behaviour of such Participants during participation in the race.
4. The Organizer reserves the right to use photos from this event for future promotional purposes.
5. By attending this event, participants consent to the Organizer for the use of image and likeness of the participants in any and all promotional materials and communications produced by the Organizer, without any compensation or further approval required.
6. Personal data of the participants of the race collected will be treated confidentially and will be used for sending receipts and communications.
7. The Organizer reserves the right to amend the program of the rules and regulations. Should there be disputes, the Organizer reserves the right to the final decision and interpretation of the rules and regulations of the race.
8. Should there be disputes of the prizes and positions, the Organizer reserves the right of the final decision.
9. Terms and Conditions are in Chinese and English. In the case of discrepancies between the Chinese and English versions, the English version shall prevail. The Organizer reserves the final right to interpret and amend the Terms and Conditions and the Official Rules and other rules and regulations as it sees fit from time to time.
