“Blooming Hope, Boundless Love” Mother’s Day Charity Event Aims to Spread Warmth Across the City Through Flowers.
Ronald McDonald House Charities Hong Kong (RMHC Hong Kong) and the Cultivation of Mercy Charitable Foundation have co-organized a heartwarming community project – the “Blooming Hope, Boundless Love” Charity Floral Workshop. Held at RMHC Hong Kong’s Kwun Tong House on May 1 and 3, 2025, the event featured four floral arrangement sessions.
This initiative received generous support from multiple corporations and organizations, including Kam Wing Holdings Group, Hong Kong Gold Exchange Charity Foundation, Vision Foundation “Service All Around”, Ablaze Charity Foundation, Hong Kong Waste Treatment Association, Whealth Finance, Zhen Long Industrial Limited, and the Ginger Volunteer Team. Notably, the “Donation 1+1” matching scheme was introduced, with Kam Wing Holdings Group providing matching donations to double the impact of every contribution.
On the eve of Mother’s Day, the “Blooming Hope, Boundless Love” event creatively combined floral artistry with heartfelt messages. Participants crafted gratitude cards using Nagomi pastel art to honor mothers worldwide, celebrating their selfless love. Over a hundred volunteers joined families from RMHC Hong Kong to create floral masterpieces filled with appreciation. Each blooming flower carried blessings for mothers, with the artworks not only brightening RMHC Hong Kong’s spaces but also being delivered to elderly community centers, extending this Mother’s Day warmth to more recipients.
Dr. Cheung Tak Hei, Co-founder of Cultivation of Mercy Charitable Foundation and Chairman of The Hong Kong Gold Exchange (HKGX) , shared: “Mothers are every child’s strongest support, especially in families with sick children. Through this floral initiative, we hope to perpetuate this love and courage. With cross-sector collaboration, we’re amplifying this event’s social impact.” RMHC Hong Kong also took this opportunity to salute all caregivers accompanying children on their recovery journeys, recognizing their tireless devotion.
In this season of gratitude, the “Blooming Hope, Boundless Love” event transcended being merely a floral charity activity. Like blossoming flowers, it allowed love and hope to flourish throughout the community, composing the warmest melody for this Mother’s Day.
