House Event: Birthday Party
We hosted warm and joyful birthday parties at both Kwun Tong and Shatin House, bringing happiness and laughter to children undergoing treatment and those in recovery.
At the Shatin House birthday party, over 50 sick children and their families participated. Meanwhile, more than 70 sick children and their families attended the celebration at the Kwun Tong house. The events featured wonderful performances and healthy, delicious food, filling the venues with joy, laughter, and a warm, cheerful atmosphere.
Here at RMHC HK, we are always striving to build a strong support network where so families can find strength and support even in the face of challenges. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the sponsoring organizations for their generous support, which made these celebrations possible and added even more richness and joy to the events.
House Event: Charity Cooking Class
To celebrate International Family Day on 15 May, Ms. Christine Kuo visited RMHC Hong Kong’s Kwun Tong House to make Chinese yam and red date cakes together with our families. On this meaningful day everyone rolling up their sleeves to mix, bake, and share something sweet.
Our “Charity Cooking Class” is all about creating heartwarming moments of connection by holding parent-and-child cooking classes. We ensure that families undergoing treatment can still enjoy the comfort and joy that good food can bring throughout their challenging journey. We firmly believe that the companionship of family is the most powerful source of healing for a sick child.
For this event, volunteers prepared dinner for our families, allowing everyone to enjoy a meal together after making the desserts and filling the House with joy and warmth.
