Keeping Families Close:
Where Love,Care, and Hope Thrive
At Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®), we have devoted ourselves to serving as an unwavering beacon of hope, love, and care for families grappling with the challenges of caring for terminally and chronically ill children. We′re not simply a facility; we are your ″home away from home″, a sanctuary where families can offer steadfast support to their ill children during their hospital treatments. We comprehend the extraordinary difficulties these families face, and our environment is thoughtfully crafted to provide the comfort and assistance they require during these trying times.
Since 1996, Ronald McDonald House CharitiesTM Hong Kong ( RMHC Hong Kong) has embodied our cornerstone program, the Ronald McDonald House® (RMH), often affectionately known as ″The House That Love Built.″ Our journey began with the construction of our first House, and since then, we have remained committed to alleviating the burdens of families in need, providing a safe haven that radiates compassion and love.
Our Global Reach
From its humble beginnings in 1974, RMHC has expanded its reach worldwide. Our mission is to create, identify, and support programs that directly enhance the health and well-being of children. Our comprehensive programs span numerous countries, granting families access to stability and essential resources during their times of need. Rooted in the concept of family-centered care and aiming to offer a “home away from home” service for both the child and their family, we aspire to provide emotional and physical comfort, nurture togetherness, and fortify family bonds throughout the recovery journey.
RMHC Hong Kong
RMHC Hong Kong is a locally registered charity that has been nurturing love, care, and hope for families with children undergoing medical treatment. Since our inception, our flagship project, the RMH, stands as a testament to our mission. This House is a lovingly crafted sanctuary, offering temporary accommodation for families with seriously ill children receiving hospital treatment.
Our House boasts family units, including one specially designed for families with bone marrow transplant child patients. It also encompasses a communal kitchen, library, study room, play area, communal dining space, and an organic garden. Every corner of our House reflects our unwavering dedication to love and compassion. It’s a place where families can draw strength from one another, navigate the challenges of caring for a seriously ill child, and foster an atmosphere of togetherness and hope.
